STATION 3 WEDDING
Karen and Carlo recently tied the knot at Station 3 in Houston, TX! This sweet couple was definitely thrown some curveballs during their wedding planning, but despite the pandemic and a double-hurricane scare the week of their wedding, we are so thrilled to introduce you to Mr. and Mrs. Licea!! (Alex and I actually got married at Station 3 back in 2016, so it was fun getting to revisit a venue that holds such a special place in our hearts!)
I had the pleasure of photographing Karen’s bridal session the week before her wedding. I loved capturing her bridal portraits (which I’ve sprinkled throughout this post!) and seeing a sneak peek into her wedding colors, coral and teal. Karen has a sapphire engagement ring, so I knew right away that she was a girl who loved a pop of color! Karen’s vibrant bouquet created by Petals by Design was absolutely stunning, and it paired perfectly with the teal chair that she brought to her session.
INDUSTRIAL CHIC HOUSTON WEDDING
Needless to say, Karen and Carlo’s wedding day was filled with color ranging from pink and orange flowers to teal goblets at the reception. Every detail was perfectly planned, like the flowers and greenery that adorned the staircase, ceremony arch, and dinner table. Karen’s invitation suite sported all of her wedding colors and had the cutest custom touches like illustrations of the couple and their favorite cats!
The day started with Karen getting her hair and makeup done by BP Artistry before slipping into her perfect dress. Then, she shared a First Look with Carlo, and they both had the sweetest reactions! It’s so easy to see how much Karen and Carlo love each other, and we had so much fun taking bride + groom portraits of them all around the property.
When it was time for the ceremony, Karen looked like a princess as she walked down the main staircase. She met her father at the bottom, and he walked her down the aisle to Carlo. Shortly after, the couple said their vows under a beautiful floral arch!
After the ceremony, guests mingled with appetizers and champagne before going upstairs for a lovely seated dinner. The evening felt like an intimate dinner party, and everyone was laughing and enjoying themselves throughout the night. A thunderstorm rolled through towards the end of dinner which made the night even more dreamy!
After the cake cutting and toasts, the fun continued downstairs with a variety of games such as giant Jenga and “What Do You Meme.” At the end of the night, Karen and Carlo’s guests waved ribbon wands for the Grand Exit. Mr. and Mrs. Licea, it was such an honor being a part of your special day, and we wish you (and Sniffy and Ash!) all the best as you continue your journey as husband and wife!
