Bridal Oaks Wedding | Rachelle + Austin

HOUSTON WEDDING

Rachelle and Austin were married at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church, and their wedding reception took place at Bridal Oaks in Cypress, TX. Alex and I have been looking forward to this wedding for so long, and we HAVE to share the sweet story of how Rachelle and Austin met. A couple years ago, we photographed Rachelle’s cousin’s wedding. It was at that wedding that Rachelle and Austin first got to know each other. The craziest thing is that Rachelle and Austin are actually pictured together in the back of the bride and groom’s sparkler exit. We think it’s so crazy that Alex and I captured their first photo together- haha! Needless to say, Rachelle and Austin have the cutest love story ever!

On the day of their wedding, I was so excited to see some familiar faces in the bridal party which always makes the day even more fun! The bridal party got ready at Bridal Oaks which has one of the prettiest bridal suites. It was the perfect spot for Rachelle to get dressed, share a First Look with her dad, and read a sweet letter from her groom.

BRIDAL OAKS WEDDING RECEPTION

Once at the church, there were custom newspaper programs reading “Rachelle and Austin Are Getting Married Today.” Such a cute idea! The ceremony was beautiful, and it was extra meaningful because the church is very special to Rachelle and Austin. After the ceremony, we headed back to Bridal Oaks for portraits and got ready for the grand entrance.

I remember Rachelle telling me all about her wedding vision when we first met for coffee, and I loved seeing everything finally come to life! The reception was filled with flowers in white vases made by Austin, and there were geometric details and agate slices on every table. Emerald green runners lined all of the tables, and there was an adorable popcorn bar that guests were excited to dig into!

It was an incredible night filled with special dances, a surprise bridal party scavenger hunt, and lastly, a streamer exit for the bride and groom. Congratulations again, Mr. and Mrs. Shaffer! We have loved being a part of your wedding journey and documenting your love story!
