THE BOATHOUSE AT MILLICAN RESERVE

I loved celebrating Madelyn and Conner’s marriage last Friday in College Station! Madelyn and Conner are such a sweet couple, and even despite changes to their wedding due to Hurricane Harvey, their excitement level and positivity never changed! They were officially married at the San Antonio Texas Temple on Thursday, and then I had the opportunity to take their wedding portraits and photograph their open house reception on Friday. It was a cold winter day, but I knew Madelyn and Conner wouldn’t let that phase them! They were such troopers taking photos as we got misted on by rain and even walked through some mud. They were naturals in front of the camera, and I couldn’t have been more in love with Madelyn’s fur coat!

Their reception took place at The Boathouse at Millican Reserve, a hidden gem in College Station! Madelyn has always been a member of the Texas A&M rowing team, so she said a venue on the water was her dream! I had the best time taking their bride and groom photos before dinner and was over the moon about having a WHOLE hour for portraits! Trust me when I say that never happens on a wedding day! We were able to walk out on the dock and follow a few trails around the property. Madelyn and Conner had a newlywed glow, and their joy was contagious! (At one point we were talking about pizza and fried pickles, so luckily dinner started shortly afterwards. Haha!)

COLLEGE STATION WEDDING RECEPTION

Madelyn and Conner had an intimate family dinner (farmhouse table style!) before guests arrived for the open house. After dinner, there were s’mores by the fire, the cake cutting, and a surprise during the Father Daughter dance! Conner surprised everyone by singing “Forever And Ever, Amen” as Madelyn danced with her dad. By the end of the song, he was singing to just her in the middle of the dance floor. I’m pretty sure everyone’s hearts were melting!!

At the end of the night, guests tossed birdseed as Madelyn and Conner exited the reception. A huge congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Waldron!! It was such an honor being a party of your wedding journey!
