THE TREMONT HOUSE

Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Ratcliff! Katie and Austin’s wedding took place in Galveston, TX, with the ceremony at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and reception at The Tremont House. Their black tie winter wedding was filled with special touches from beginning to end, and it was the most joyful day! Katie and I were on the drill team together back in high school, so it felt extra special being a part of this incredible wedding day!

The day started with the girls getting ready at The Tremont while the guys hung out at a loft down the street. After Katie slipped into her perfect wedding with the help of her mom, she shared a special First Look with her dad and brother. They both had such sweet reactions to seeing Katie in her wedding dress for the first time! Shortly afterwards, Katie did a bridesmaids reveal with her girls, and they were all squealing with excitement when they saw her! She has the sweetest group of friends, and it was fun seeing some familiar faces in the bridal party!

Before the ceremony, Katie and Austin also shared a First Look together outside of The Tremont. They both had the biggest smiles on their faces the whole time, and it was so fun witnessing their tangible excitement! Then, we strolled around downtown taking portraits before it was time to head over to the church.

GALVESTON WEDDING

Sacred Heart Catholic Church is located just minutes away from historic downtown Galveston, and it features stunning architecture from the picturesque columns outside to the high ceilings inside. I could feel the excitement building in the church as guests began arriving and taking their seats! Soon after, the church doors opened, and Katie’s father escorted her down the aisle. Her long train and veil looked stunning as she made her way to her groom! The meaningful ceremony was filled with heartfelt moments, prayer, and worship. Everyone cheered when Mr. and Mrs. Ratcliff were announced as husband and wife!

The outside of the church was the perfect backdrop for bride and groom photos right before the sun went down. Then, it was time to celebrate back at The Tremont House! The ballroom was filled with flowers and candlelight, and I couldn’t help but eye the delicious wedding cake and chocolate chip cookies right when I walked in! After guests enjoyed cocktail hour, Mr. and Mrs. Ratcliff made their Grand Entrance into the reception where they shared their first dance as husband and wife. Then, the Father of the Bride toasted the newlyweds, and guests enjoyed an evening of dinner and dancing. As the night went on, we even had a chance to sneak away to the balcony for nighttime bride + groom portraits. They are some of my favorites from the night!

Love and Happiness Band made sure the dance floor was packed all night, and they wowed everyone with their high energy and jaw dropping vocals. Katie and Austin surprised everyone at the end of the night by singing on stage with the band! To end the evening, they ran through a sea of sparklers to their vintage getaway car. Talk about a perfect night! Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Ratcliff! We hope your dream wedding day is just the start to a lifetime of love and happiness!
