Annunciation Greek Orthodox Wedding | Caroline + Parker

GREEK ORTHODOX WEDDING

Introducing the new Mr. and Mrs. Lund! Caroline and Parker’s wedding day took place at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Houston, TX. It was an honor capturing all of the special moments throughout the day, from the meaningful ceremony inside the cathedral to the energetic crowd on the dance floor at the reception!

On the day of the wedding, we lucked out with gorgeous weather! The sun was shining as Caroline shared a First Look with her dad in the courtyard to start the day. It was so sweet seeing the Father of the Bride’s face light up when he saw Caroline for the first time that day. They were both holding back happy tears! Meanwhile, the bridesmaids were eager to see Caroline in her wedding dress, so they joined us for a fun bridesmaids reveal in the courtyard. The girls couldn’t contain their excitement and were squealing with joy when they turned around to see Caroline!

Excitement started to build as guests arrived and took their seats inside the cathedral. Shortly afterwards, Parker stood proudly at the altar as Caroline and her dad made their grand entrance through the church doors. Caroline looked absolutely radiant as she walked down the aisle with the biggest smile on her face! The ceremony was filled with Greek wedding traditions, such as the crowning of the bride and groom with wedding crowns, also called stefana. The wedding service focused on the true sacrament of marriage, and everyone cheered as Caroline and Parker walked back down the aisle together as husband and wife!

ANNUNCIATION RECEPTION

After the ceremony, we had the opportunity to take portraits outside right before sunset. The church’s grand doors and arches were the perfect backdrop for photos! Once the sun went down, guests were welcomed into the reception space filled with candlelight, beautiful floral arrangements, and of course, a dessert table featuring cake and Greek pastries! Mr. and Mrs. Lund made their grand entrance into the reception where they shared their first dance as husband and wife. A band played in the background as Parker twirled Caroline around the dance floor and even picked her up at the end of the song! Caroline danced to “Sweet Caroline” with her dad, and then Parker and his mom surprised everyone with a fun choreographed dance.

As the night went on, guests enjoyed a delicious dinner, live music, and some Greek dancing! Caroline even surprised everyone with her presentation of some Greek ouzo; you’ll have to keep scrolling to see the photos! To end the perfect evening, the Lunds ran through rows of sparklers before waving goodbye to everyone from their limo. Congratulations, Caroline and Parker! We wish you all of the love and happiness in the world as you continue this journey together as husband and wife!
