Sacred Heart Galveston Wedding | Maggie + Reese

SACRED HEART CATHOLIC CHURCH

Maggie and Reese are officially Mr. and Mrs. Eller! It was so much fun being a part of their Galveston wedding and capturing all of the joy throughout the day! The morning started with the girls and guys getting ready at separate beach houses right by the water. I had the privilege of hanging out with the girls while Alex was capturing the guys. The girls wore the cutest matching pajamas and made sure the start of the day was perfect for Maggie! When it was time for Maggie to get dressed, her mom and sister helped her put on her gorgeous long sleeve gown. Maggie looked absolutely radiant when her brother and dad came upstairs to see her during their First Look. Their reactions were priceless! Shortly afterwards, we headed over to the historic church for portraits before the ceremony.

The ceremony took place at Sacred Heart Catholic Church which has a rich history and breathtaking architecture. We took bridal party portraits outside of the church, and then Maggie and Reese shared a private moment together (without seeing each other!) before the ceremony. It was exciting to see the church fill up with all of Maggie and Reese’s friends and family who came from out of town to celebrate their marriage. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the room when Maggie started walking down the aisle with her dad! The whole ceremony was beautiful and focused on the sacrament of marriage. Maggie’s sister, Korrie, sang during the ceremony which made the service even more meaningful. Everyone cheered as Maggie and Reese were announced as the new Mr. and Mrs. Eller!

GALVESTON WEDDING RECEPTION

After their sunset ceremony, we took portraits inside the church before heading over to cocktail hour at the Galveston Railroad Museum. Guests enjoyed a variety of drinks and appetizers as they explored the historic venue and on-site trains. When it was time to get the party started, members of the Manhattan Band led a “second line” into the beautiful reception space! The welcoming reception was filled with lush florals and a stunning cake in the center of the room. It was fun seeing guests’ reactions when they walked into the candlelit space for the first time!

Maggie and Reese made their Grand Entrance into the reception where they shared their First Dance. Maggie’s dress was perfect for twirling around the dance floor! As the night went on, guests enjoyed a delicious dinner and live music. Manhattan Band kept the dance floor packed all night as guests danced with tambourines and fun light up flower crowns! At the end of the evening, Maggie and Reese shared a private last dance as guests enjoyed “tacos by the tracks” outside. They threw rose petals as the newlyweds made their Grand Exit from the reception and onto the train caboose for an epic getaway!

Mr. and Mrs. Eller, it was an honor being a part of your wedding day and capturing your love for one another. We wish you all of the love and happiness in the world as you continue your journey as husband and wife!
