Houston LDS Temple & Ashton Gardens Wedding | Marcela + Chad

the sweetest first look

I remember waiting for Marcela to arrive to the First Look, and I think I was as anxious as Chad was! I know how special of a moment a First Look is, and I am always eager to see the bride in her gown as well! It was so sweet seeing Chad’s reaction to his gorgeous bride. He had a huge smile on his face and immediately gave her a Notebook-worthy kiss! After their First Look, we ventured around the flower gardens for portraits. Marcela and Chad are naturals in front of the camera, and I love how they can get lost in their own world to create authentic, romantic images!

two gorgeous venues

Marcela and Chad officially became husband and wife on Saturday morning at the Houston Texas LDS Temple. When they exited the Church, they were surrounded by a crowd of cheering friends and family members. We proceeded to take family photos and bridal party portraits before driving over to Ashton Gardens Houston West for a ring ceremony! Ashton Gardens is a gorgeous venue with a naturally-lit chapel and wooden beam architecture. This was my third time back to the venue, and it never disappoints!

One of my favorite parts of Marcela and Chad’s reception was when Marcela’s mom read a letter from Marcela’s brother who is abroad on a church mission. His words directed at the bride and groom left many guests teary eyed- it was such a moving moment! The couple ended the night with the Aggie War Hymn and a bubble exit. It was the perfect end to a beautiful wedding day!

Marcela and Chad, thank you for giving me the opportunity to photograph your wedding- it was such an honor! Congratulations again!

The cutest First Look ever!! The new MRS. Young! Marcela! You are stunning! Oh my goodness- these two are SO sweet together! The two black and white photos were taken moments after Marcela and Chad walked out of the Temple as husband and wife!!  Gorgeous florals made by the bride’s mom! Off to Ashton Gardens Houston West for a Ring Ceremony! Prepping before the ceremony One of my new favorite photos EVER! My second photographer and hubby, Alex, captured some great shots from the balcony! Another favorite taken by Alex- so fun!! I love capturing the audience’s reactions during the First Dances! Bubbles are ALWAYS a good idea! My favorite grand exit shot was taken by Alex- look at the joy on her face! I am in LOVE!
