gorgeous winter wedding

I have been looking forward to Cassidy and Stephen’s Chappell Hill wedding ever since their consultation! I remember talking for over an hour and getting excited about all of the wedding day details with them. This is dorky, but I got giddy when they told me they were going to have a donut tower instead of a wedding cake because I am a HUGE donut lover! We talked about their color scheme (which turned out amazing!) and other aspects of the wedding that they were looking forward to. Flash forward a few months later, and we were in College Station for their engagement photos. I loved getting to talk to them about their wedding planning progress and get to know them better during our time together.

A few weeks before their wedding, I had the privilege of photographing Cassidy’s bridal portraits. I knew she had a lace long-sleeved dress,  but it was even more gorgeous than I imagined. She really wanted to surprise Stephen with her long-sleeved dress, so we took extra precaution to make sure he didn’t see her sleeve during their “blind first look” on their wedding day. (This is a term I made up for the moment before the wedding where the couple holds hands, exchanges letters, or prays together without seeing each other!)

First of all, I need to talk about how obsessed I am with Cassidy and Stephen’s wedding day hashtag: #callmemabry. Not only is it super punny, but it made for the best sing-along during the reception. Haha! Cassidy and Stephen’s wedding day was filled with a lot of joy and a few happy tears throughout the day. Stephen’s reaction to seeing his bride for the first time completely melted my heart. Stephen’s mom teared up when she shared a dance with him. The toasts had guests laughing AND crying. It was truly an incredible evening, and I’m so glad I was able to be a part of it!
