THE OAKS AT HIGH HILL WEDDING
Introducing the new Mr. and Mrs. Bludau! Mikayla and Alex were married last weekend, and their ceremony took place at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, a beautiful painted church from the 1800’s! Their reception was held at The Oaks at High Hill which featured a large reception barn and the most gorgeous oak tree for portraits. It was such a special occasion to be a part of it, and we loved capturing all of the heartfelt moments throughout the day!
At the beginning of the afternoon, Mikayla and her girls got their hair and makeup done in the cozy bridal suite while Alex and the guys hung out in the groom’s quarters. When it was time for Mikayla to get dressed, her sister and mom helped her into her perfect gown. She wore the most amazing pearl studded veil that went perfectly with her classic bouquet! Once she was dressed, she shared a first look with her dad under the main oak tree. Cue the happy tears! Shortly after, she also shared a private moment with Alex where they talked about how excited they were to get married later that afternoon! Then, we headed to St. Mary’s where Mikayla and Alex would say “I do!”
It was exciting to watch the church fill up with all of Mikayla and Alex’s closest family and friends leading up to the start of the ceremony. When the church doors opened to reveal Mikayla walking down the aisle down with her dad, she had the biggest smile on her face! The ceremony was beautiful and focused on the true sacrament of marriage. I can’t think of a more meaningful way for Mikayla and Alex to start their journey together as husband and wife!
TEXAS WEDDING RECEPTION
After the ceremony, we returned to The Oaks at High Hill and took portraits all around the property. It was so much fun capturing Mikayla and Alex’s first moments together as a married couple! Shortly after, the newlyweds entered the reception, and everyone enjoyed a delicious dinner together. To kick off the main events, all of the guests participated in a traditional Grand March all around the venue. It ended with Mikayla and Alex sharing their first dance surrounded by everyone on the dance floor! As the evening continued, guests danced the night away and enjoyed a photo booth and outdoor patio. It was such a pretty night; you could see Texas’ stars really showing off. The night concluded with Mikayla and Alex running through confetti to their vintage getaway car as everyone cheered!
Mr. and Mrs. Bludau, it was such a joy being a part of your wedding celebration! Wishing you both all of the love and happiness in the world as you continue your journey as husband and wife!
