Messina Hof Winery Wedding

When I was in college at Texas A&M, one of my favorite places to visit was Messina Hof Winery. I went there with my family on my 21st birthday, attended their summer Harvest Festival, and took a winery tour one afternoon. Not only is it a great place to visit, but it’s an absolutely gorgeous wedding venue as well! A couple weeks ago, I took Katie’s bridal portraits at the winery, and it got me SO excited for her wedding. Just a couple of day ago, Katie and Timmy officially became Mr. and Mrs. Hubbell! Their ceremony took place at St. Mary’s, and their reception was at Messina Hof.

I knew Katie’s vision for her wedding was incredible when she told me the bridesmaids would be wearing plum dresses, and the florals were going to be created by Busy Lil Bee Floral. The reception took place above Messina Hof’s restaurant in a space that functions as an art gallery. Artwork lined the walls, the cake was displayed on a wine barrel, and Messina Hof wine was abundant!

After a meaningful ceremony at St. Mary’s, the party moved over to the winery. It started raining right after the ceremony, so we took some indoor bridal party photos and crossed our fingers for the best once we arrived at the winery. Despite the rain, we were able to take a few outdoor portraits before Katie and Timmy were announced into the reception. The rain died down to a drizzle a couple hours later, so I snuck back outside with Katie and Timmy for some sunset bride and groom portraits. That’s where the magic happened!! I am so thankful for sweet couples who don’t let a little bit of rain put a damper on their day!

One of my favorite parts of the reception was when Timmy surprised Katie with a special serenade. Katie thought he was giving a toast, but instead, he led her and all of the guests into a separate room where his guitar was set up. Needless to say, everyone was completely surprised- especially the bride! I also love that Katie and Timmy shared a slow dance right afterwards with Timmy’s guitar still strapped to his back.

Katie and Timmy, it’s been so much fun working with y’all throughout this special time in your lives. Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Hubbell!
