love is in the air

Instead of posting my usual Monday blog post, I thought I would hold off until today- Valentine’s Day! One thing I love about Valentine’s Day is seeing my clients post their engagement or wedding photos. It’s so sweet seeing how in love my couples are! There’s no better time to post Marcela and Chad’s adorable Houston engagement session. They are the perfect match for each other, and it made my heart happy to see how they always walked holding hands even when we were just moving between locations.

Marcela had the idea to take photos at Boulevard Oaks, a gorgeous neighborhood in Houston with rows of trees. When they showed up, I was so impressed with their classy black and white outfits! It was the perfect contrast to the casual, pastel outfits they wore at the park. Being a photographer in Houston definitely has its quirks. One of those is being at the mercy of random events that pop up around Houston- like the Women’s March! Luckily, Marcela and Chad were quick to go with the flow, and we were able to change park locations at the last second. We ended their session with a gorgeous sunset over the lake, so I think the location change was meant to be!

Marcela and Chad are getting married this April, and I can’t wait to be there to celebrate with them! Their reception will be held at Ashton Gardens Houston West which will officially make that my “most-shot-at” wedding venue. (: April will be here before we know it!
