Dusty Blue Farmhouse Wedding | Rachel + Garrett

DUSTY BLUE TEXAS WEDDING

Rachel and Garrett are officially Mr. and Mrs. Bratton! I met Rachel last December when I photographed one of her bridesmaid’s weddings. She inquired with me about a week before her friend’s wedding, and I remember meeting her that day and thinking right away that she would be so sweet to work with! Fast forward to her engagement session, and I got to meet Garrett as well! They were so cute and giggly together, and I couldn’t wait to photograph them again on their wedding day at The Farmhouse! I also photographed Rachel’s bridal portraits at the venue a few weeks prior to the wedding, and even though it poured down rain, her smile and joy were contagious. Sure enough, their wedding day was a reflection of that same contagious joy from beginning to end!

On the day of their wedding, The Farmhouse was decked out with gorgeous florals from Striking Stems and perfectly placed details by Wed and Prosper. The bridesmaids wore a gorgeous shade of dusty blue, and the flowers had pops of blue as well. Don’t even get me started on Rachel’s gown- it was ALL lace with the most beautiful intricate detail! My favorite detail of all might have been the special dancing shoes that were waiting for guests at the reception. I know I would want to kick off my heels the second I hit the dance floor!

CEREMONY AND RECEPTION AT THE FARMHOUSE

Their ceremony took place in the chapel, and to make it even more special, the officiant told a story about how Rachel and Garrett met at Pine Cove a few years ago. Being a part of Pine Cove himself, he recalled telling the campers “you might be in each other’s weddings one day!” Haha, or marrying each other!! The reception was also filled with some sweet and hilarious moments like when Rachel’s maid of honor mentioned during her toast that she had snuck a cat sticker on Rachel’s shoe as a prank! Guests danced the night away with glow sticks, and it was a dream wedding day for Rachel and Garrett!

Mr. and Mrs. Bratton, we’ve had so much fun being a part of your wedding journey and capturing your big day. We hope being husband and wife is the best adventure so far!
