CRYSTAL BALLROOM WEDDING

Introducing the new Mr. and Mrs. Bullion! Ashley and Patrick were married last weekend, and their downtown Houston wedding celebration was absolutely incredible! Their ceremony took place at Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart followed by an upbeat reception at the Crystal Ballroom.

At the beginning of the day, Alex photographed Patrick getting ready at Crystal Ballroom while I spent time with Ashley at The Lancaster Hotel. There was gorgeous natural light in the hotel which was perfect for some fun getting ready photos! When it was time for Ashley to get dressed, her mom and sister helped her put on her perfect gown. I’m in love with everything about Ashley’s bridal look from the statement bow on the back of her dress to her heirloom ring. Before heading to the church, Ashley shared a First Look with Patrick in the hotel as well as a special bridal party reveal with her friends. Everyone’s jaws dropped when they saw Ashley all dolled up!

Soon after, we headed to the church, Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart. It’s a beautiful church nestled in the middle of downtown, and the architecture took my breath away. Right before the ceremony, Ashley’s dad saw her in her dress for the first time that day. Cue the happy tears and tissues! All of the morning’s excitement was leading up to the very special moment when the church doors opened, and Ashley’s dad walked her down the aisle to her groom. I still can’t get over how stunning Ashley’s long dress train looked while she was standing at the altar with Patrick! Ashley and Patrick said their vows before God, and everyone cheered as they were announced as the new Mr. and Mrs. Bullion!

DOWNTOWN HOUSTON RECEPTION

We took bridal party photos outside of the church utilizing the Houston cityscapes before heading over to Crystal Ballroom. After some beautiful bride and groom photos on the venue’s terrace overlooking the city, guests began arriving for cocktail hour. Guests enjoyed passed appetizers and drinks outside before it was time for Ashley and Patrick to make their grand entrance into the reception. The reception space was filled with incredible floral centerpieces and special touches such as custom place cards and menus. The wedding planning team at Wed and Prosper really made Ashley’s wedding vision come to life!

The reception was filled with great food and great dance moves! Hot Sauce ATX played live music all night as guests enjoyed dinner and the open dance floor. By the end of the night, guests were waving neon glow sticks and frequenting the branded Liquid N Lights wall- a large art display you can drink! (Adults only- haha!) A surprise confetti canon ended the night with a bang, and Ashley and Patrick shared a heartfelt private last dance as guests prepared for the grand exit. The band and newlyweds led an energetic “second line” down the street to an after party where the fun continued! Talk about an epic wedding celebration!
