BLUE HILLS RANCH WEDDING
It was such a joy celebrating the new Mr. and Mrs. West! You might remember these sweet newlyweds from their “micro wedding” back in June. Julianne and Cole tied the knot surrounded by their closest family and friends over the summer, and then we all counted down the days for their big wedding celebration at Blue Hills Ranch! Julianne and Cole are a special couple that exude joy, and it was an honor capturing that joy again last weekend in Waco. (Perks of being a wedding photographer- we get to travel all over Texas!) Julianne and Cole even nodded to their summer wedding date by preserving and displaying Julianne’s June bouquet. Such a meaningful keepsake!
Blue Hills Ranch is a new venue that’s also an animal sanctuary. If you look closely at some of the photos, you will see some zebras in the background! The barn itself is located on a beautiful property with plenty of wide open space, hills, and water. The bridesmaids and groomsmen each had their own getting ready cabins at the beginning of the day. Then, once everyone was dressed, we migrated over to the main barn for Julianne’s First Look with her dad and a bridesmaids reveal. Julianne has the sweetest group of friends, and they had the best reactions when they saw Julianne all dolled up on her wedding day!
When it was time for the ceremony, Julianne’s dad walked her down the aisle to her husband. Her dad was also the officiant, and he led a wonderful marriage service while a harpist played in the background. It was so special witnessing Julianne and Cole renew their wedding vows to each other in the place they had always dreamed of getting married!
WACO WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
After the ceremony, guests headed to cocktail hour at the barn while we took bride and groom portraits around the property. We had been eyeing a boardwalk over the water at the beginning of the day, so we were excited to take portraits there right before sunset! Once the sun started setting, the newlyweds made their Grand Entrance into the reception where they shared their First Dance. Later in the evening, Julianne also danced with her dad. Their father-daughter dance took an exciting twist as they started dancing and clapping to a Lord of the Rings mash up. Too funny!
We truly couldn’t have asked for a prettier fall day as guests danced in the open air barn and mingled outside on the patio under the lights. There was an adorable photo booth camper in the courtyard, and plenty of desserts ranging from cupcakes to Julianne’s favorite Kentucky chocolate bars. To end the perfect night, Julianne and Cole ran through a sea of sparklers to their getaway car! Mr. and Mrs. West, we can’t wait to see what the future holds for y’all as you continue your journey as husband and wife!!
