The Farmhouse Wedding | Melissa + Cody

WEDDING AT THE FARMHOUSE

Get this- Melissa and Cody were the very first people to officially book The Farmhouse as their wedding venue! They booked their date before the walls were even up. After over a year of anticipation, they are officially Mr. and Mrs. Barnes!!

What started as a 90% chance of rain in the forecast turned into the most beautiful day for Melissa and Cody’s outdoor wedding. They got married under twinkly lights in the courtyard, and everything about their ceremony was perfect! They had a gorgeous purple and blush floral arch created by Striking Stems as their backdrop, and they had the cutest four flower girls toss petals down the aisle. Moments before Melissa walked down the aisle with her dad, their son, Emmett, carried the rings down the aisle to Cody.

After the ceremony, we snuck Melissa and Cody away for some sunset portraits around the venue. Melissa suggested photos on the backside of the chapel by the large windows, and it was such a great spot! While we were taking photos, guests enjoyed playing yard games and hanging out with the GingerSnap PhotoCamper. They really thought of everything to make their day special for not only them, but their guests, too! And lastly, Melissa really poured her heart into the details of the reception decor. She calligraphed 110 agate slices as place cards and created custom signage and a seating chart. (I’m hoping she opens an Etsy shop sometime soon!!)

When you start looking at the photos, one thing that will jump out at you is the amazing cake display! Melissa’s cousin helped create the paper flower back drop, and it went perfectly with the purple cake designed by Shazdeh Cakes.

Melissa and Cody, it was such an honor being able to photograph your wedding and capture memories for your whole family. Wishing you all the best as you start your journey as Mr. and Mrs. Barnes!
