WEDDING AT THE ASTORIAN
Cameron and Ryan are officially Mr. and Mrs. Keeney! Their wedding took place at The Astorian, an industrial-chic venue located in the heart of Houston. The venue is absolutely gorgeous with a 1920’s art-deco vibe. It was the perfect place for Cameron and Ryan to tie the knot! It was so wonderful being a part of Cameron and Ryan’s wedding day. Alex and I actually know Ryan from high school and college, and it was so much fun getting to know Cameron during our time together, too! Alex and I photographed their engagement sessions in both the summer and fall, and then I photographed Cameron’s bridal session as well. She was the most beautiful bride, and I can’t wait to share some of her bridal portraits in the near future!
On the day of their wedding, Cameron got ready in the spacious bridal suite while Ryan and his friends hung out in the groom’s suite. Once Cameron’s mom and step mom helped her put her perfect gown on, she went upstairs to share special First Looks with her dad and step dad. It was so sweet seeing their eyes light up at the sight of Cameron in her wedding gown! (Cue the happy tears!) Shortly afterwards, Cameron and Ryan privately exchanged letters before seeing each other for the first time on their wedding day. Ryan had the biggest smile on his face when he saw his beautiful bride, and it was easy to see that the excitement was building to say “I do!” at the the altar!
INDUSTRIAL CHIC HOUSTON WEDDING RECEPTION
Before the ceremony, we took bride and groom portraits around the property and made sure to include some industrial aspects! We found the perfect fire escape stairs that tie in perfectly with the old New York vibe of the venue. (The Astorian is actually designed to resemble Grand Central Station!) After we finished their portraits, the sun went down and a light rain started to fall. Talk about the perfect setting for a romantic, nighttime ceremony! Cameron and Ryan said their vows surrounded by all of their friends and family, and their joy was palpable when they were announced as Mr. and Mrs. Keeney!
Cocktail hour took place by the grand bar and featured custom koozies with a logo of Cameron and Ryan’s two pups. (The logo was designed by Cameron’s mom- so cool!) After cocktail hour, Cameron and Ryan made their grand entrance and the party got started! PRP Entertainment kept the dance floor packed all night and even showed off some dance moves of their own! As the night went on, Cameron and Ryan cut their cake which was accompanied by a range of other desserts like lemon bars and cookies! Guests also enjoyed a midnight snack of Chick-fil-A nuggets before lining up outside with sparklers to bid the newlyweds farewell.
Congratulations again, Mr. and Mrs. Keeney! It was an honor being a part of your wedding day, and we wish you all of the love and happiness in the world!!
