WEDDING AT THE OLANA
Emily and Andrew were married last weekend at The Olana, a French inspired wedding venue located in Hickory Creek, TX, right outside of Dallas. After photographing Emily’s bridal session at The Olana, I was so excited to go back again! On the day of their wedding, it actually snowed in the morning. Once we arrived at the venue, we were surprised to find snow on the roof! However, the 35 degree weather didn’t stop us from taking beautiful outdoor photos throughout the day! (The members of the bridal party were such troopers!)
The day started with Emily getting ready in the luxurious on-site bridal suite. Even the bathroom was picture-perfect! When Etoilly Artistry was finishing Emily’s hair and makeup, all of the bridesmaids exclaimed that Emily had the perfect “Kate Middleton” vibe for her big day! The bridesmaids hadn’t seen Emily’s dress yet, so they were all in awe when Emily walked out in her perfect ballgown. Afterwards, we braved the cold and took bridal party photos around the venue. The bridesmaids were such a sweet group of girls, and they took extra care to make sure Emily’s dress stayed perfectly clean for her debut down the aisle!
FRENCH INSPIRED WEDDING VENUE
The ceremony took place indoors, and the soft, romantic lighting set the scene for a meaningful marriage service. A beautiful stone mantle was the backdrop for Emily and Andrew’s “I do’s,” and it was dripping with florals by Flower Shack Blooms. Emily and Andrew had the biggest smiles on their faces as they walked down the aisle as the new Mr. and Mrs. Stinson!
I had such a great time capturing Emily and Andrew’s portraits all around the venue. Every nook and cranny is so beautiful, especially when paired with joyful newlyweds! We ended our portraits right before sunset with a wonderful view of the venue in the background. Then, it was time to get the party started!
The reception took place in the solarium where tall floral centerpieces and candlelight welcomed guests after cocktail hour. Emily and Andrew made their Grand Entrance and shared a First Dance under the chandeliers. After a fun evening of dinner and dancing, a Rolls Royce pulled up in front of the venue to act as Emily and Andrew’s get away car as guests waved ribbon wands made by the Mother of the Bride.
Mr. and Mrs. Stinson, it was such an honor being a part of your wedding day! I’m so glad a study abroad trip in college connected us, and I know y’all have a lifetime of exciting times (and trips!) ahead!
THANK YOU TO ALL OF THE WONDERFUL VENDORS!
