WEDDING AT THE CITADEL

It was such a joy photographing Annie and Austin’s wedding! They are such a sweet couple, and we loved capturing all of the memories from their special day! Their wedding celebration took place at The Citadel, a classic venue located in Houston, TX. We had the privilege of taking a tour of the venue a few months ago, and I think our jaws dropped when we saw how grand and beautiful it was. On the day of the wedding, the every inch of the ballroom was filled with white and pink florals designed by The Perfect Touch, and even the staircase and stage were adorned with greenery!

Annie put on her gorgeous gown with the help of her mom and sisters, and then she did a bridesmaids reveal with her bridesmaids! It was so sweet seeing everyone’s reactions to Annie all dolled up for her big day! Then, Annie shared a First Look with her dad who had the biggest smile on his face when he saw her for the first time that day! Before the ceremony, Annie and Austin also exchanged letters and shared a First Look. The wind blew Annie’s veil perfectly as the couple embraced and shared their first kiss of the day. Talk about picture perfect!

Then, we took bridal party photos all around the venue before guests started arriving for the ceremony. The ceremony took place outside in the courtyard underneath an incredible flower arch, and guests bundled up in blankets gifted by the bride and groom. A harpist played in the background as Annie walked down the aisle to her groom! The ceremony was filled with scripture readings and emphasized the importance of marriage. Everyone cheered as Annie and Austin were announced as Mr. and Mrs. Williford!!

HOUSTON WEDDING RECEPTION

Guests moved inside for cocktails and appetizers before the newlyweds made their way down the grand staircase into the reception! They shared a sweet First Dance together before dancing with their parents as well. Guests enjoyed a delicious meal and live music played by Hot Sauce ATX, and then the dance party got started! Everyone had a blast on the dance floor- lip syncing with blow up microphones and strumming on air guitars! At the end of the night, everyone enjoyed a late night snack of tacos before singing their hearts out to one of Beyoncé’s famous hits! Then, Annie and Austin ran through sparklers to their getaway car as everyone cheered!
