We are so thrilled for the new Mr. and Mrs. Nguyen!! We were lucky enough to photograph Judy and Nghi’s surprise proposal in Galveston, TX, as well as their engagement photos. Needless to say, we have loved getting to know them both throughout our time together, and feel so honored to have captured all of these exciting milestones for them! We first met Judy a few years ago when we photographed her sister’s wedding. Then, we found out that Judy had actually caught the bouquet at a wedding we photographed for her friend. Such a small world!

Judy and Nghi’s wedding day was such a joyous occasion, especially during this crazy year! It was fun starting the day by seeing some familiar faces in the bridal party. (I met a lot of Judy’s friends at her proposal!) It was a relaxed morning taking getting ready photos and bridal party portraits around the property at The Bowery House. The Bowery House is a new venue in Katy, TX, and it features an industrial three story building with rooftop access. It’s also surrounded by a beautiful garden area with greenery, and that’s where Judy shared a First Look with her dad and special reveal with her bridal party. Before heading to the church, Judy and Nghi decided to share a private moment together so they could hold hands and talk about how excited they were to get married!

EPIPHANY OF THE LORD CATHOLIC CEREMONY

An hour later, Judy was walking down the aisle with her dad to see her groom for the very first time that day! The ceremony took place at Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Church which was beautifully decorated for Christmas time with pink poinsettias. The ceremony was gorgeous, and Judy and Nghi had the biggest smiles on their faces when they walked back down the aisle as husband and wife!

After the ceremony, we returned to The Bowery House for the reception. Guests enjoyed an outdoor cocktail hour while we took bride + groom photos of the newlyweds! We even went up to the rooftop for a few photos, and it was so much fun capturing Judy and Nghi’s joyful personalities and love for each other! Once it was time for the reception, guests took their seats at tables adorned with greenery and candles. After the First Dance, the Matron of Honor and Best Man toasted to the newlyweds, and then the dance floor was officially opened! Guests enjoyed an interactive photo booth throughout the night as well as glow sticks on the dance floor! At the end of the night, Judy and Nghi shared a last dance alone in the candlelit ballroom before making their Grand Exit.
