Texas A&M Hotel Wedding | Ale + Jayton

Ale and Jayton were married at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in College Station, TX, and their reception was held at the brand new Texas A&M Hotel on campus. Alex and I had both been looking forward to this wedding ever since Ale told us the vision for her “Texas Black Tie” wedding in Aggieland. Alex and I are both Aggies as well, so we love any chance we get to photograph weddings in College Station.

Ale and Jayton’s wedding was a beautiful blend of all the best things- heartfelt vows said at the altar, elegant architecture for portraits in front of the Administration Building, and fun twists on A&M traditions. We are huge advocates for customizing your wedding and making it your own, and Ale and Jayton did just that! They had a beautiful ceremony at St. Mary’s, and Jayton had the sweetest reaction to seeing his bride for the first time. (Give us all the happy tears!)

Aggie Reception

From her maroon heels to his A&M cufflinks, you can tell how much the university means to Ale and Jayton. Jayton was in the Aggie Band, so they surprised everyone by having members of the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band lead their wedding party into the reception. Meanwhile, guests were waving customized 12th Man Towels and cheering on the newlyweds as they made their Grand Entrance. After a delicious sit-down dinner in the ballroom and some hilarious toasts, it was time for the special dances. Ale shared a dance with her dad, and then Jayton had a little trick up his sleeve. A surprise, choreographed groomsmen dance! I don’t think I’ve ever been so impressed by a group of groomsmen. Their dance had everyone cracking up, and it was the perfect way to get the party started out on the dance floor.

Needless to say, the energy at this wedding was contagious! Guests danced the night away to the Royal Dukes Band and waved glowsticks and balloon animals on the dance floor. (Yes, balloons! You have to keep scrolling to see!) To end the most epic reception, an impromptu Midnight Yell took place right outside of Kyle Field. “R-A-I-N-E-Y, Fight ‘Em Aggies!”

Mr. and Mrs. Rainey, it was such a joy capturing your big day and getting to know you both throughout your wedding journey. Congratulations again on this new adventure!!
