Peach Creek Ranch Wedding | Julia + JD

PEACH CREEK RANCH WEDDING

I remember meeting Julia for coffee in Houston and hearing all about her upcoming summer wedding at Peach Creek Ranch. From the very beginning, I could tell Julia was going to be the sweetest bride! It’s been so much fun working alongside Julia and JD throughout their wedding journey from engagement pictures to bridal portraits to the big day! (It was SO hard keeping her bridal portraits a secret because Julia looked absolutely stunning in her custom 2-piece gown from Brickhouse Bridal! I finally got to post some sneak peeks over on my Facebook page!)

The first thing I noticed on the day of their wedding was that the atmosphere was extremely calm and everyone was genuinely having a good time! The bridesmaids were sipping on champagne in matching monogrammed shirts, and the guys were busy goofing off and doing a “prank” photo shoot with Alex. (I’ll let Julia tell you about that one- haha!!) The day started with Julia sharing a First Look with her dad, and it was the sweetest moment filled with happy tears! Afterwards, Julia and JD shared a private moment together from either side of a barn door. They couldn’t see each other, so I know the time they spent together just built up the excitement and anticipation for when Julia would walk down the aisle soon after.

COLLEGE STATION WEDDING DAY

The ceremony took place under the covered pavilion, so guests were shaded from the hot Texas sun! The ceremony arbor was decked out with sage green and peach florals created by Urban Rubbish. It was stunning! I love how the sun shined through on the bridal party and bride and groom during the ceremony. It was so dreamy!!

When it was time to enter the reception, I was surprised to see custom 12th Man towels draped on all of the chairs in the venue. The Mother of the Bride had them specially made to surprise Julia and JD who are both Aggies. In true Aggie fashion, guests waved the towels as Julia and JD made their Grand Entrance into the reception. Shortly after, guests lined up to to participate in a Grand March led my JD’s parents. It was the liveliest Grand March I’ve ever seen! The ENTIRE venue was empty when guests lined up outside waiting for the music to start!

The Grand March ended with guests circling up Julia and JD for their First Dance. They two-stepped and twirled, and at one point, Julia was even wearing JD’s cowboy hat! Once the dance floor was open, glowsticks were handed out, and everyone was dancing to music played by The Emotions Band all night long.

Mr. and Mrs. Luza, it was such a joy capturing your amazing wedding day! I hope y’all have the BEST time in Hawaii, and congratulations again on the start of your new marriage!

Love this shot Alex captured of JD getting ready. The sweetest First Look with dad! Julia’s mom surprised them with custom 12th Man towels! Guests rush the bride and groom as part of the Grand March! We had to sneak outside for just one nighttime shot of the venue!!  They’re married!!
