houston engagement session

I remember how sweet Lauren and Jake were when I first met them at their consultation. Fast forward a couple months, and I had the chance to get to know them a little bit better during their recent engagement session! They were down for anything and even hopped in a tree for a couple photos! (I may or may not have made a joke that they should sing the K-I-S-S-I-N-G song while they were up there- haha!)

For whatever reason, there was a ton of bugs in the park that day, but Lauren and Jake were such troopers! We had to keep taking breaks to swat the bugs away, but luckily, I think I was the only one who got bitten. (; I’m glad I didn’t have plans the next day because one of my ears was completely swollen! (But brides, rest assured, I was at the park yesterday and there were NO bugs at all. Ha!) Do it for the photos, right?

Lauren got her hair and makeup done by the fabulous team at Sunkissed and Made Up, and I’m in love with how they pulled back her hair. Those girls are seriously so talented! Pair that with a gorgeous navy maxi dress, and you know you are going to have some stunning engagement photos! I love how their outfit choices had a pop of color in them. Jake made a joke that their maroon outfits made them look like Aggie tailgaters, but if you ask me, that’s a huge compliment!

one more year!

Lauren and Jake are getting married in May of 2018, so we are almost to their one year countdown! Their venue, Magnolia Bells, is right outside of the Woodlands. It looks absolutely gorgeous, and I’m excited to schedule a venue walk through sometime in the near future. I’ve heard bits of pieces of Lauren and Jake’s plans for their wedding, and I can already tell it’s going to be amazing!
