Sam and Zak were married at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in College Station, TX, and their wedding reception took place at Brownstone Reserve. Ever since photographing Sam’s bridal portraits several weeks ago, I’d been so excited to go back to Brownstone for her wedding day! The venue is absolutely gorgeous with a lake, a stone bridge, and plenty of trees that call for great photos. Sam has such a contagious smile, and I knew her wedding day was going to be filled with happiness the second I saw her that morning. She jumped out of her chair to greet me with a hug, and she didn’t stop smiling and laughing throughout the entire day!

Before heading to the church for the ceremony, Sam shared a First Look with her dad. She looked like a princess walking across the bridge to see him, and their reactions were priceless! After some fun bridal party portraits, Sam and Zak took a few minutes to be together without seeing each other. They held hands from opposite sides of a corner, and you could tell they were both excited to eventually see each other at the church!

While I was waiting for Sam to arrive at the church, I had the chance to spend some time with the two flower girls outside. They were the first to see Sam pull up to the church, and their jaws dropped at the sight of her. It was the sweetest moment, and they ran up to her as soon as they could! Shortly after, they were walking down the aisle; Sam and her dad followed behind arm-in-arm. The ceremony was beautiful, and Sam and Zak’s excitement was evident!

COLLEGE STATION WEDDING RECEPTION

When it was time for the party to get started, Sam and Zak made their entrance down the grand staircase at Brownstone Reserve. Everyone enjoyed a delicious dinner before listening to some heartfelt and hilarious toasts. Later in the evening, a majority of the guests participated in a Grand March, and it was so much fun to photograph! Sam and Zak also incorporated another tradition, the Polish Apron Dance, into their reception. I had never seen this at a wedding before, but it closely resembles the “money dance” where the bride and groom dance with guests.

The reception was filled with life and laughter, and there was never a dull moment on the dancefloor! At the end of the night, Sam and Zak departed under a sea of sparklers and drove off in a white limo. Mr. and Mrs. Liszewski, thank you for letting us play a special part in your wedding day! You two are so sweet together, and we can’t wait to see what’s in store for y’all as husband and wife!
