BIG SKY BARN CHRISTMAS WEDDING
Introducing the new Mr. and Mrs. Kowis!! Katie and Dillon were married at Big Sky Barn right before Christmas, and their wedding was a beautiful winter-inspired celebration complete with festive decor and florals! I photographed Katie’s brother’s wedding a couple years ago, so it was a huge honor being a part of her wedding celebration as well! It’s been wonderful getting to know Katie and Dillon throughout their wedding journey, and I loved being a part of their special day!
Katie loves Christmas, so I can’t imagine a better time for her and Dillon to tie the knot! Katie’s bouquet sported red roses and pine cones, the aisle was lined with wreaths, and there was even a decorated Christmas tree at the reception! Her bridesmaids got ready while wearing plaid flannels, and then they changed into their classic black dresses. Once Katie was dressed, she did a bridesmaids reveal with her girls, and they were overwhelmed by how gorgeous she looked in her dress! She also shared a First Look with her Dad who had the biggest smile on his face when he saw her!
MONTGOMERY WEDDING CEREMONY & RECEPTION
After taking bridesmaids and groomsmen portraits on the iconic bridge at Big Sky Barn, it was time to line everyone up for the ceremony. Katie was beaming as she walked down the aisle to Dillon who was trying to keep it all together at the altar! The ceremony took place in the beautiful naturally lit chapel, and everyone cheered as Katie and Dillon were announced as Mr. and Mrs. Kowis!
We took bride and groom photos in front of the rustic venue before heading inside to start the party! The fire place glowed in the corner as guests enjoyed their dinner and cake. When it was time for the special dances, Katie’s dad surprised her with an upbeat song to dance to. He said it was more “like them” which was so sweet! Needless to say, Katie was completely surprised when the bridal party started clapping along and joined them on the dance floor. The reception was filled with energy and dancing, from a Grand March to an impromptu kick line! Guests came prepared in their boots for plenty of two stepping and line dancing as well!
Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Kowis! It was such an honor being a part of your wedding day, and we wish you all the best as husband and wife!
