DOWNTOWN HOUSTON WEDDING

Karley and Tyler were married last weekend at the A.D. Bruce Religion Center. The ceremony site is meaningful to them because they both attended the University of Houston where the chapel is located. They met when they were both student athletes, and they made sure to incorporate some UH details into their big day- you’ll see!

I remember driving out to Tyler’s family ranch for their engagement session, and I had such a fun time! We ventured all over the property, and even some horses made guest appearances in their photos. Their engagement session made me even more excited for their big day! Then, I captured Karley’s bridal portraits, and I have been dying to share them ever since. She is SO stunning!

On the day of their wedding, Karley and the girls got ready in the penthouse at Hotel Icon while Tyler and his guys got ready at the Crystal Ballroom. Shortly afterwards, we all met up at the ceremony site where Karley and Tyler shared a First Look in the chapel. It was such a sweet moment watching them see each other for the first time on their wedding day. Then, we went outside for portraits with the bridal party before the ceremony was underway.

CRYSTAL BALLROOM WEDDING RECEPTION

The officiant was one of Tyler’s close friends which made the ceremony even more special. The ceremony ended right at sunset, and then Karley and Tyler shared a private moment in the chapel reading letters they had written to each other. Shortly after, we traveled to the Crystal Ballroom where the party began!

The reception was filled with surprises from singing happy birthday to a special grandparent to being surprised by the UH mascots to shaking tambourines on the dancefloor! Guests danced all night to the Royal Dukes Band while sporting colorful beads thrown to them by the bride and groom. So fun!! The night ended with a bang as the Royal Dukes Band led a second line all throughout downtown. It was the perfect way to end a fun filled night- glitter and all!
