Waco Wedding | Arden + Travis

We had the pleasure of traveling to Waco for Arden and Travis’ wedding day, and it was an incredible celebration joining together two wonderful families! Alex and I went to high school with Arden, so I was over-the-moon excited when Arden asked us to photograph her big day. And since the world is small, I actually second shot Travis’ sister’s wedding last year when I was helping one of my photographer friends who lives in DFW. So crazy!

Arden and Travis met while they were attending Baylor University, so it was only fitting that they tied the knot in Waco. Their wedding took place at the Waco Convention Center which is walking distance from the city’s iconic suspension bridge. We took Arden’s bridal portraits on the bridge, and I couldn’t wait to go back again for their wedding day photos! Before Arden’s bridal session, we did a venue walk-through and learned about the vision for her wedding day. It was so much fun arriving on the wedding day and seeing the convention center transformed into a dreamy ceremony site and beautiful reception space!

A ROCKIN’ RECEPTION

All of the details from Arden and Travis’ wedding day were perfectly planned out from the gorgeous floral displays to the fun plum-colored accents found throughout. Arden’s nails were painted purple, and she even had purple heels AND purple reception shoes. (And trust me- she ROCKED those reception shoes on the dance floor!!) To make the day even more meaningful, Arden walked down the aisle wearing her mom’s veil, and her dad officiated the ceremony. He ended it with “Travis, you may now kiss my daughter.” How sweet is that?!

Once at the reception, guests enjoyed live music by Uptown Drive and a delicious dinner from multiple food stations. When the dance floor opened up, Arden and Travis impressed everyone with their fun dance moves! (Seriously- you have to keep scrolling to see the dance floor photos!) The dance floor was jam packed all night, and the band even came down to dance and sing in the crowd. By the end of the night, light up sunglasses and tambourines filled the dance floor, and Arden and Travis were up on stage for the last song! They exited the reception under a sea of confetti.

It is so evident that Arden and Travis are loved by their friends and family, and it was such a joy seeing everyone celebrate the sweet newlyweds. Mr. and Mrs. Roeder, congratulations again, and we wish you all the best as you continue this new journey as husband and wife!
