The Farmhouse Wedding | Alexandra + Jackson

THE FARMHOUSE WEDDING

I still remember photographing Alexandra and Jackson’s engagement photos about a year ago. You could just tell how much fun they were having together, and Jackson even picked her a flower from the field we were in. I remember thinking that was the sweetest thing, so I wasn’t surprised at all when Jackson would spontaneously kiss and dip Alexandra during their wedding portraits! Alexandra and Jackson were married at The Farmhouse in Montgomery, TX, and everything was decked with flowers and blush colored details. Bramble and Bee created all of the beautiful florals, and Sweet Tea and Linen made sure everything was placed to perfection.

At the beginning of the day, the girls were wearing matching robes and getting their hair and makeup done by Sunkissed and Made Up in the bridal suite. All of Alexandra’s bridesmaids were so sweet, and her Maid of Honor, Makayla, is actually the one who connected us! I know Makayla from my childhood because her mom was actually my fourth grade teacher. Makayla and Alexandra met at A&M (whoop!), and it was fun hearing all about their friendship during Makayla’s toast later that evening.

MONTGOMERY, TEXAS WEDDING

One thing I loved about Alexandra and Jackson’s wedding day were all of the sentimental moments leading up to the ceremony. Alexandra shared a First Look with her dad that was filled with tears, and then she did a special reveal with her bridesmaids. After that, Jackson came up to the bridal suite, and they held hands from different sides of a door so they couldn’t see each other. They exchanged letters and gifts, and Jackson gave Alexandra an engraved bible that he’d been leaving her notes in for awhile. When it was time for Alexandra to walk down the aisle, I could tell they were both bursting with excitement. The ceremony was beautiful in the all-white chapel, and it ended with worship to “Living Hope” played on guitar. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the room!

Alexandra and Jackson are so much fun to be around, and we loved taking their portraits around the property before the reception. We even snuck them out for additional sunset portraits after dinner, and the golden glow from the sunset was just incredible! As the night went on, guests listened to hilarious and heartfelt toasts, including one from the Father of the Bride. He told a funny story about how he liked Jackson from the beginning based on his firm handshake- come to find out that Jackson had recently injured his hand, and he powered through the injury to make a good first impression. Haha!

Essen Entertainment had guests dancing all night long, margaritas in hand. Of course, it wouldn’t be an Aggie reception without the War Hymn! The newlyweds exited the reception under a sea of sparklers, and it was the perfect end to a dream wedding day. Mr. and Mrs. Valencia, we are SO happy for you two and wish you all the best on this new journey as husband and wife. Thank you for letting us be a part of your special day!
