WEDDING AT SPRINGS EVENTS IN KATY

Kelli and Connor got married last weekend, and despite of the rain, it was an absolutely incredible day! We started the day photographing Kelli with her bridesmaids as they got ready at the reception space, Springs Events in Katy. The girls braved the rain to take their portraits outside, and you can’t even tell it was raining at all in the photos! Kelli and her dad shared an emotional First Look, and shortly afterwards, we headed to the church where Kelli and Connor would say “I do!” The ladies were transported to the church in style. A stretch limo to be exact! I love that they had a limo because that meant that Kelli and Connor could ride in it on their way to the reception. I don’t know about you, but a 45 minute car ride with my brand new husband would be EXACTLY what I wanted after the ceremony!

Kelli’s uncle was the priest at the ceremony, so the mass was extra special! Tears were shed and wisdom was shared during the ceremony, and then Kelli and Connor were officially announced Mr. and Mrs. Teykl! After the ceremony, we headed back to Springs Events to enjoy the reception. We drove through the rain on the way there, but miraculously, the rain had completely stopped by the time we got there! We were able to utilize the gorgeous grounds for bridal party and bride + groom portraits, and it was the perfect end to our portrait time!

ONE BIG PARTY

Kelli and Connor told me that they were really looking forward to candid photos of their friends and family at the reception- specifically on the dancefloor! They sure know their guests well because the dance floor was jam-packed all night! The night started with Kelli and Connor sharing the sweetest First Dance as soon as they entered the reception. Instead of having the DJ play their First Dance song, they had a friend SING their song! On top of that, Kelli’s dad had a surprise for her during the Father-Daughter dance. They danced to a song that he had actually recorded himself singing! How sweet is that?! It was a complete surprise, and I don’t think there was a dry eye in the room!

Once the party got started, Kelli was lipsyncing to Whitney Houston on the dancefloor surrounded by all of her friends and family. It was such a fun reception to be a part of!! Not to mention, the groom’s cake was the most delicious cake EVER! It was like a brownie/cookie mix, and we may or may not have contemplated taking some home with us. Haha!

Mr. and Mrs. Teykl, it was such an honor capturing the laughter and joy of your wedding day. Congratulations on this new adventure!!
