Lindsay Lakes Wedding | Kayla + Marc

LINDSAY LAKES WEDDING

Kayla and Marc were married at Lindsay Lakes the Friday of Thanksgiving weekend. The day of their wedding, it felt like fall in Texas with sunshine and a light breeze. Their wedding colors were burgundy, navy, and blush which was the perfect fall palette! When I spoke to the Mother of the Bride, she said it had been an extra special weekend already because her family came in town early to celebrate Thanksgiving together. Kayla and Marc’s wedding was a joyous celebration that gave their friends and family even more reasons to be thankful!

Kayla and Marc shared a First Look together, so not only did we get to capture the sweet moment as they first saw each other, but we also had TONS of portrait time with them throughout the day. I knew it was going to be a perfect wedding when Kayla emailed me to ask if we could add more sunset portraits to the timeline. The answer to that is always an enthusiastic YES!! We took bridal party photos after their First Look, and the bridal party was such a fun group! (Probably because most of them are Aggies- whoop!). Their ceremony took place in the chapel, and it was complete with dark pink uplighting and gorgeous flowers on the altar. I loved how the chapel doors were closed right before Kayla walked down the aisle so that her grand entrance with her dad was even more special! Tears were shed throughout the ceremony, and it was evident that the whole chapel was filled with love for the new Mr. and Mrs. Espejo!!

A TOAST FROM THE BEST MAN

At the reception, Bob, the Best Man gave a toast that had me cracking up. Not only did he recite a speech, but he also handed Kayla and Marc an actual piece of toast in a plastic bag. Their reactions were priceless! For dessert, Kayla and Marc opted to have a wedding cake AND several Bundt cakes which are my absolute favorite! Once the party got started, the dance floor was jampacked all night. (Let me tell you, Kayla and Marc’s friends have quite the dance moves! Including a Michael Jackson impersonator..)

The whole day was filled with joy, and it was an honor being a part of such a fun celebration! Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Espejo!

How pretty is this uplighting in the chapel!
Overwhelmed with emotion as he sees his bride walk down the aisle. So sweet! I love all of the anticipation in this photo! A few sunset portraits!Gorgeous sweetheart table for the newlyweds! Awesome capture by my second photographer and husband, Alex! The best man gave them a “toast.” Haha! It was such a fun group!!  Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Espejo!!
