Ali and Thomas’ vision for their natural, white and green wedding sounded amazing to me from the beginning, but seeing it come to life was incredible! All of the details came together perfectly thanks to Ali’s eye for detail and the amazing team over at Sweet Tea and Linen.

The morning of Ali and Thomas’ wedding at Hodge Podge Lodge was unlike any other. It was completely calm and peaceful. Crazy, right?! Ali and Thomas spent the morning together with their families, so it took the pressure off of the “getting ready” portion of the day. After Ali put her dress on, they shared an adorable First Look together where Thomas got to see her dress for the first time. One of my favorite parts of the afternoon was that Ali and Thomas chose not to have a bridal party, so we were able to take double the amount of portraits!

I have to admit, I was a little worried about the weather on their wedding day. As I was outside shooting Ali’s bridal details (like her mom’s earrings that she wore!), I saw a dark cloud looming above us. Luckily, it blew right over, and there was nothing but sunshine during the ceremony and reception! The ceremony was timed perfectly, so we were able to capture some golden hour bride and groom portraits after the ceremony. (Eek- my favorite thing ever!) And on top of that, since the reception was outside as well, Ali and Thomas’ first dance took place right at sunset under the twinkly lights out back.

Ali and Thomas’ friends definitely know how to bust a move on the dance floor! Once the sun went down, the music was turned up, and the bride and groom were on the dance floor all night with their friends. I always love a good dancing crowd, especially when all of the songs are worthy of a sing-along!
