DUKESSA WEDDING

Vanessa and Peter were married at Dukessa in Houston, Texas. It’s a beautiful venue nestled in the Galleria area right down the street from the Hyatt Regency where the bridal party started their day. Vanessa did a great job picking a getting ready space with huge windows and tons of natural light; we were so impressed! When we first arrived, Vanessa was getting her hair and makeup done by Sunkissed & Made Up, and all of her bridesmaids were hanging out in their matching robes. When it was time for Vanessa to get dressed, her mom and sister helped her put on her gown and accessories. Then, Vanessa’s bridesmaids came out to see her for the first time all dressed up, and they had the sweetest reactions!

Shortly after, we traveled down the street to Dukessa where the ceremony and reception would take place. Vanessa and Peter decided to share a First Look before the ceremony, and Peter had the biggest smile ever when he saw his beautiful bride. We had fun taking their portraits all around the property before getting lined up for the ceremony. I still can’t get over the stunning floral arch created by The Perfect Touch. It was the prettiest backdrop for Vanessa and Peter to say their vows.

HOUSTON TEXAS WEDDING RECEPTION

When the ceremony concluded, guests moved outside to cocktail hour where there was a mariachi band playing live music. As guests enjoyed appetizers, we snuck away to the upstairs balcony with Vanessa and Peter. We found beautiful architecture around every turn, and I loved being able to look down at cocktail hour going on below us. We could even hear the mariachi music as we took photos!

When it was time to enter the beautifully decorated reception, Essen Entertainment announced the new Mr. and Mrs. Massey, and they went straight into their First Dance. At the end of the song, they surprised everyone with an energetic surprise dance that really set the mood for the fun night ahead! After an evening filled with dancing, Vanessa and Peter ran through sparklers to their Rolls Royce getaway car.

Mr. and Mrs. Massey, you two are so sweet, and we loved being a part of your wedding day! Wishing you a lifetime filled with love and happiness (and spontaneous dancing!)!
