a winter engagement session

Carleigh and I met through our major in the Mays Business School at the start of freshman year. Throughout our time in college, we ended up working on projects together and being lab partners in oceanography. (Honestly, I’m pretty sure Carleigh pulled all of the weight in that class- haha! Science was my least favorite!) Somehow I feel like my time working with Carleigh and Dreu will trump all of our school-related memories!

When Carleigh first emailed me about engagement photos, she told me she was “marrying the love of her life.” From that moment, I immediately knew that Carleigh and Dreu would be an absolute joy to work! We recently took their photos at Arbor Hills Nature Preserve in Plano, TX. The timing worked out great because I was already in town for a wedding in Dallas that weekend. We spent the afternoon exploring the park and dodging all of the people who were taking Christmas card photos. Luckily, we found a secluded spot up on a hill that had the perfect view of the sunset.

Carleigh and Dreu are tying the knot at Rustic Grace Estate next June, and I’m excited to roadtrip back to Dallas for their wedding. Dallas venues are always amazing! It’s crazy to think that 2017 is right around the corner. Usually it takes some time to adjust to the sound of the new year, but I have been talking about 2017 for so long! Without a doubt, I can say that it is going to be an incredible year filled with weddings!

Can’t wait to be back in Dallas with these two next June!
