SPRINGS WEDDING

Rachel and Ryan are best friends who have been dating ever since they met each other in junior high. Now you can say they are high school AND college sweethearts as well, and it was such a joy being a part of their long awaited wedding! I went to high school with Rachel, and we were on the drill team together way back when. It’s always such an honor when old classmates trust me to photograph their special day!

We took Rachel and Ryan’s engagement photos at The Springs a few months ago, so it was fun being back at their wedding venue for round 2- except this time it was for the real deal! We had a beautiful, sunny day for their outdoor ceremony, and I loved witnessing Rachel and Ryan each say “I do” to their best friend. Rachel and Ryan are both so sweet and easy to work with, and they didn’t even complain once about the inevitable Texas heat. I was sad when our portrait time was over because I could have taken photos of them forever!

KATY WEDDING RECEPTION

Once it was time to get the party started, the reception hall was decked out with gorgeous florals created by The Farmer and I, and the cake was prominently displayed up on the stage. I loved how everyone could watch the cake cutting! After dinner, the dance floor was packed, and glow sticks were given out to all of the guests. At the end of the night, guests waved their glow sticks as Rachel and Ryan made their grand exit.

It was such a beautiful wedding day from the dusty blue color palette down to the last detail, but most of all, we loved capturing the joy of the day as two high school sweethearts promised each other forever. Mr. and Mrs. Christensen, congratulations on the start of this new journey! Wishing you all the happiness in the world!
