Beckendorff Farms Wedding | Lauren + David

BECKENDORFF FARMS WEDDING

Lauren and David were recently married at Beckendorff Farms, and it was such a joy being a part of their wedding celebration! Beckendorff Farms is right down the road from us, and we love photographing weddings there! The original barn was built in the 1800’s, and it was shipped to Katy from Ohio where it was rebuilt on the Beckendorff family’s property. (If you get a chance to look at the complete history on their website, it’s worth the read!) The venue was the perfect place to host Lauren and David’s wedding day, from its indoor ceremony area to its large reception space in the barn. The natural wooden beams of the barn complemented the dusty blue linens and candlelit tables perfectly!

Lauren is just the sweetest bride, and she had the most radiant smile on her face all day! The day started with Lauren sharing a First Look with her dad, and there were definitely some happy tears flowing! Then, she shared a First Look with her groom. Right when David turned around to see his bride-to-be for the first time, the wind picked up Lauren’s veil and created the most romantic moment. It was like something out of a fairytale!

CINCO DE MARRIED

After Lauren and David said “I do” in front of all their friends and family, guests enjoyed a cocktail hour outside in the courtyard. The weather was absolutely gorgeous, and the sunset was even prettier as the night when on. When the reception started, Lauren and David entered through the giant barn doors, and the doors were left open throughout the night. To start off the night, the Father of the Bride toasted the newlyweds. He pointed out that Lauren and David were “Cinco de Married” since their wedding took place on May 5th! (That will be an easy anniversary to remember!)

The Royal Dukes Band entertained the guests with live music all night, and let me tell you, they are incredible performers. It’s hard not to be on the dance floor singing along with them! Guests were surprised with glow sticks on the dance floor and a special delivery of Whataburger honey butter chicken biscuits before sending off Lauren and David with sparklers.

Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Johnson! We were so honored to be a part of your special day, and we wish you all the best as you start this new journey as husband and wife!
