Baton Rouge Destination Wedding | Capitol Park Museum | Ana + Trevor

baton rouge destination wedding

Ana and Trevor both attended LSU, so I was excited when they told me they were getting married in Baton Rouge! They live in Houston, so that made their wedding a destination one! Ana dreamed of a navy and gold art-deco style wedding, and she enlisted the help of Kate B Cook Weddings to make her vision come to life. She chose to get married at the Capitol Park Museum with the capitol building as her ceremony background right at sunset. It was an absolute dream wedding!!

Alex and I road tripped in town the day before the wedding, and we got to enjoy an incredible rehearsal dinner at Mike Anderson’s. (I’m pretty sure it’s my new favorite restaurant!!) We stayed at the same hotel Ana and her bridal party were getting ready at, so the morning of the wedding, all we had to do was walk right upstairs to start taking photos! Everything ran ahead of schedule (aka a photographer’s dream!!), so we were at the couple’s First Look before we knew it. They chose to see each other before the wedding so they could read their vows aloud to each other. Tears were shed, and it was the most precious moment before the ceremony!

To top off an amazing day, guests enjoyed a live band during the reception. The band, D Play, had everyone dancing all night until the sparkler exit! Congratulations, Ana and Trevor! We’re so glad we could be a part of your wedding!
